When I gave these chews to my tough chewing dogs, they went to town! They did immediately start taking off small bits of plastic from the edges of the head and tail. The TPR is digestible so eating small bits will not hurt your dogs. However, I do recommend taking away any large pieces that came off. After the initial bits coming off, the chews held up for several weeks of chewing without noticeable losses.
